Project Description:  AGUIRRE & ASSOCIATES was responsible for researching survey information at the County Surveyor's office and at the City of Palm Springs. AGUIRRE & ASSOCIATES provided a primary horizontal control network throughout the project area based on the California State Plane Coordinate System, NAD83, Zone 6. Third order or better vertical control was established for ground surveys in terms of the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. AGUIRRE & ASSOCIATES performed all primary control survey work, set twenty (20) aerial targets and perform a GPS control survey to establish coordinates and elevations on the targets for aerial mapping of the project site. AGUIRRE & ASSOCIATES surveyed cross sections along approximately 4000 linear feet of Belardo Road and performed design surveys including, but not limited to, cross sections of Tahquitz Creek, conform locations at the north and south ends of the project, street intersections, driveways, utilities, and miscellaneous surveys as requested by Dokken Engineering. AGUIRRE & ASSOCIATES performed a comprehensive right-of-way survey and prepared base right-of-way mapping for the entire project area using data collected and reference maps and deeds. Coordination with the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Tribe was required for the necessary right-of-way acquisition.
