Project Description: Aguirre & Associates was the survey and mapping subconsultant to North County Transit District for the Oceanside-Escondido "Sprinter" Passenger Rail project. We were responsible for aerial and project control surveys, design, topographic, and right-of-way surveys and mapping for the 21.7-mile Escondido Branch main line and 1.8-mile loop passenger rail project. Tasks included performing a first-order GPS control survey and the preparation of a Record of Survey map with the County Surveyor. Topographic surveys at all grade crossings were performed and points files with detail sketches were provided to trhe designer.
